Rebecca School is a developmental program that utilizes the DIRFloortime method, a relationship-based model of teaching instruction developed by Dr.
Stanley Greenspan.
Rebecca School is opening a new location in Mount Vernon, NY for the 2024 school year and is seeking licensed Social Workers to work with students age 3 to 21 with neurodevelopmental delays in relating, communicating and thinking.
As a Social Worker, you will play an integral role in the success of our students, joining a large team of providers in a clinical school setting that provides educational, clinical and therapeutic services.
Rebecca School North is an expansion of the Rebecca School in NYC after 18 successful years of serving students with neurodevelopment delays in relating and communicating.
Pay Range is $60,000 to $75,000 depending on degree and experience (based on a 12-month position).
RESPONSIBILITIES WHAT YOU'LL BE DOINGMaintain a caseload of clients for counseling and psychoeducationProvide support to students and families and serve as a liaison between home and schoolAssist families in applying for assistance and accessing resources as neededHome visits, family counseling, family support and educationProvide classroom consultationSupervise psychological assessments and prepare written reports identifying the student's needs and proposed treatment strategies, goals and objectivesMaintain progress recordsSupport and collaborate with teachers and related services providersParticipate in IEP meetings as neededMaintain professional competence by attending staff development programs and continuing education programsParticipate in weekly Greenspan meetings, interdisciplinary team meetings and staff trainingQUALIFICATIONS WHAT YOU BRINGMaster's DegreeValid NYS License and State Certification Knowledge of DIRFloortime is preferred, but not requiredEffective verbal and written communication skillsAbility to establish and maintain professional working relationships with students, staff and parentBENEFITS WHAT WE OFFEREligible Rebecca School Employees will receive competitive pay and benefits including:
