Rebecca School, a DIRFloortime school, is seeking a Director for its new location in Mount Vernon, NY. Rebecca School North will serve students 3 to 21 years old with neurodevelopmental delays in relating and communicating beginning in the 2024 school year, offering a safe, nurturing environment for students and families. The DIRFloortime Director will play a critical role in the school, ensuring that each student's individual needs are met, and they are supported to move up the developmental ladder to become autonomous, relating, thinking and communicating members of their community. Rebecca School North is an expansion of the Rebecca School in NYC after 18 successful years of providing services to students with neurodevelopment delays in relating and communicating.The DIRFloortime Director at Rebecca School North will provide effective leadership and build a team of clinicians who use an interdisciplinary approach and collaborate with the educators in creating an environment of respect, acceptance, and challenge. Every child is unique. The team will work together to build an individualized plan that includes strategies and interventions to promote success across all developmental areas. This position has a desired start date of February 5, 2024 and a salary range of $90,000 to $115,000, based on skills, qualifications and experience. Primary Responsibilities Include:
Performance of FEAS assessments Participation on the IRB Committee Family Education and Training Coordinate Clinical Caseloads Supervision of Clinical Department and Services Supervision of other Therapy Departments (Art, Music, Drama, Floortime) Coordinate and schedule In-services Oversee weekly Greenspan meetings Maintain professional competence by attending staff development programs and continuing education programs Support staff and consult with teams Attend clinical team meetings Provide staffing assistance, as needed, for classroom coverage (lunch, class trips, absences) and bussing Maintain safety of children at all times Minimum RequirementsThe successful candidate must possess:
Master's degree or Doctorate Valid NY State license in the relevant discipline DIR Expert Training Leader status (with experience having led DIR trainings as a training leader) Experience with administering the FEAS Effective verbal and written communication skills Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with students, staff, parents and the public DIRFloortime certification preferred BenefitsRebecca School North employees receive competitive pay and benefits including:
