Sick timeJob DetailsWe are seeking an experienced BAS Estimator to join our team in Westchester County, New York.
This role focuses on detailed cost estimates and project scopes for various projects, involving tasks such as material takeoff, equipment selection, and project scope development.
It requires a combination of technical expertise in Controls/HVAC, Electrical/Lighting, and Security to efficiently generate cost estimates.
Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed estimates by examining mechanical drawings and specifications for Building Automation Systems projects.
Analyze and interpret project blueprints, plans, and technical documentation to determine project scope and material needs.
Work closely with project managers and engineers to ensure accurate estimations and proposals.
Develop cost estimates that take into account labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor expenses.
Assess project risks and offer recommendations for addressing potential issues.
Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to HVAC controls.
Review and assess project specifications, identifying any potential conflicts or uncertainties.
Create and submit comprehensive proposals to prospective clients that align with project requirements and budget constraints.
Assist in the selection and procurement of materials and equipment for BAS projects.
Provide technical guidance and expertise during the bidding and proposal process.
MUST HAVE:
1-2 years of previous experience in HVAC Controls or HVAC estimatingTechnical degree / in field or relative experience in the Building Automation Field.
Understanding of layout, design, fabrication, and installation of Controls/HVAC, Electrical, Security systemsNICE TO HAVE:
