Responsibilities:
- Perform general janitorial duties to ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the facility - Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors - Empty trash receptacles and replace liners - Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies - Dust and wipe down surfaces, including desks, windowsills, and fixtures - Clean windows and glass surfaces - Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when restocking is needed - Follow proper safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) - Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding cleanliness and sanitation Skills:
- Experience in commercial or industrial cleaning preferred - Knowledge of custodial practices and techniques - Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as buffers, scrubbers, and carpet cleaners - Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions - Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively - Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects if required Please note that this is a general overview of the responsibilities and skills required for the position of Janitor.
